The Consultation :The focus is on you as an individual. The consultation is based around your experience of your illness or problem. During the first consultation great attention is given to who you are as a person – your tastes, your interests, your family history and what is important to you. For this reason it is a long appointment of more than an hour. The follow-up is shorter but equally based on your unique response to treatment and any changes in your condition. Shorter appointments are available for acute complaints.

Why so much emphasis on the individual?

If hay fever were caused by pollen we would all suffer from it. It results from a body’s inappropriate reaction to something natural. Similarly, when a bug is doing the rounds at school some children will be in bed for a week whilst others simply won’t get it. Our experience of health is unique, and healing must be based on treating the individual.
